Well, 2011 has been a massive year for us. It only seems moments ago since we kicked things off at the beginning of May (the 9th to be exact) – where we cut the ribbon to our new studio and started Pixel One.
Since that day we’ve worked hard to promote what we stand for and what we’re all about, and we’re really happy that we’ve gone on to work on some amazing projects. One highlight has been branding and launching the Apprenticeships division of Wakefield College – an exciting scheme that’s getting young people into the working environment and securing jobs, which particularly important in this current climate.
We also helped double sales with the campaign we created for the Bunker 13 scare attraction at Magna Science Adventure Centre, a fun project that really opened up for some exciting imagery and Photoshop magic.
Another highlight was when we were featured in the September edition of Digital Arts magazine for our illustrated invitation that we did for the Hospice. We were also really happy to be featured 3 times on the Computer Arts Inspiration Blog in October, November and December – it’s always nice to see your work well received.
We’ve got some exciting plans for 2012, we’re going to be tinkering away at our own branding as well as going on to work on some fantastic campaigns for both local and national organisations, we can’t wait to crack on and raise the bar.
Watch this space as we’ll also be planning a big celebration for our 1 year birthday party some time at the end of April/May.
For now it’s a fair well to a truly special 2011, happy holidays and we’ll catch you in 2012.
